Two leaders of the Congolese political opposition have announced their likely landings in Kinshasa in the coming days. Moïse Katumbi, coordinator of Lamuka for a period of three months arrives in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo this Thursday, June 20, 2019.
Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo of the Mouvement de Libération du Congo (MLC), a political party belonging to the same Lamuka coalition, arrived in Kinshasa on June 23, 2019. Already at the level of the Kinshasa City Hall, the MLC has officially seized Governor Gentiny Ngobila on the return of Bemba, where its activists will move the N’djili International Airport to its home. Same for those of Together for Change who do not even want to miss this event of Kinshasa’s return to Moses Katumbi Chapwe.
Thus, the Congolese political scene will face a new era, where all opponents will now be complete and based on Congolese soil. The page of political exiles is thus turned, and it will now be necessary to combine efforts to make progress. Difficult situation within the Lamuka coalition; this political platform that brings together several leaders of the Congolese political opposition. Difficult because between Martin Fayulu, unfortunate candidate in the presidential election of December 30, 2018 on behalf of Lamuka, and Moïse Katumbi, this current coordinator of Lamuka for a period of 3 months, nothing goes.
If one (Fayulu) remains radical, with a line of conduct peculiar to himself and not to that of the coalition, marked by his famous fight on the truth of the ballot box; on the other hand, Moses Katumbi wants to be an objective, realistic and moderate opponent. To applaud it must be done, and to criticize where it is needed: that’s what Katumbi is. However, Martin Fayulu wants to hear nothing and say good on the current President of the Republic, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi, who was at his side in Genval as in Geneva, and even in Limete alongside the late Etienne Tshisekedi wa Mulumba. When both express themselves, their activists present themselves in social media and networks to tear each other apart. So the opposition in the opposition.
Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, witness of these clashes between Fayulu and Katumbi, returns to Kinshasa in a few days, with the firm conviction to federate the opinions of one and the other, so that reigns peace in Lamuka. It is shameful for the sons of the same house to live with differences! It is also a lack of respect to the hierarchy when one does not respect the established line of conduct. Who defies who? For a certain opinion, Fayulu is invaded by an excess of zeal, with crowds borrowed from him by the different platforms that form Lamuka. With the return of Katumbi and Bemba, if the man continues to stubborn, then, he can lead alone his fight, because currently, its popularity rating already knows a slight decline. This is where we will understand what Fayulu Madidi’s man is.
If Bemba has planned to meet Fayulu and Katumbi, the head of the MLC, who shone by his absence at the funeral of Prime Minister Etienne Tshisekedi wa Mulumba, will do otherwise.
For Professor Jacques Ndjoli, once in Kinshasa, Jean-Pierre Bemba does not exclude to go to the concession of N’sele, where is buried Etienne Tshisekedi, to pay him homage.
“President Jean-Pierre Bemba has a lot of respect and esteem for Prime Minister Étienne Tshisekedi, who went to show his sympathy twice in The Hague. So this tribute is not excluded as worthy son of our country, we have the duty to honor President Tshisekedi, “said Professor Ndjoli, MLC executive.
