DR Congo’s professional boxer Emmany Kalombo is rated 31st with 126 points. A technical Knockout (TKO) win against Argentina’s Sergio Eduardo Gonzalez has powered Tanzanian professional boxer Hassan Mwakinyo into top 22 in the world rankings. Due to inactivity, Mwakinyo dropped from 15th to 25th early this year. The boxer has climbed three places to 22nd in the super welterweight category, according to the latest rankings released by Boxrec – a website dedicated to holding records of professional boxers. Two or months ago, the Tanga-based boxer recorded a TKO victory in the fifth round against Gonzalez in Nairobi, Kenya.The bout was sponsored by SportPesa – a leading betting firm in the country. The firm also sponsors the boxer. According to the latest rankings, Mwakinyo tops the African chart, which consists of 100 professional boxers with 152.1 points.
