Bishkek, Mar. 4, 2019. /Kabar/. In the world ranking of the rule of law, Kyrgyzstan ranked 85th. The rating is compiled every two years by the World Justice Project.
The leader in the region is Kazakhstan, which took 65th place in the ranking. Neighboring Uzbekistan is in the 94th place, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were not included in the rating again.
As in the previous ranking of 2017-2018, the first place is taken by Denmark, followed by Norway and Finland completes the top three. The last three lines of the index are held by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cambodia and Venezuela.
The WJP’s Rule of Law Index is based on eight indicators: Constraints on Government Powers, Absence of Corruption, Open Government, Fundamental Rights, Order & Security, Regulatory Enforcement, Civil Justice, Criminal Justice.
