The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) instructed all government ministers late Thursday night not to give any interviews to media about the situation in Gaza.

Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an emergency security meeting together with IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi on Thursday evening following a rocket attack on Tel Aviv from the enclave.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that two rockets were fired from Gaza at central Israel – Gush Dan – on Thursday evening, with at least two loud explosions heard in the region.

Although the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system was activated, neither rocket was intercepted by the system, according to the IDF. Both rockets – Fajr types – landed on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, in open areas.

No physical injuries and no property damage was reported.

Gaza’s ruling Hamas terrorist organization has ordered all of its headquarters, bases and offices evacuated in anticipation of a military attack by Israel in retaliation for the rocket attack on Tel Aviv Thursday evening.
