PROVIDENCE – Designed to celebrate the technology community, Ocean Inno Tech Fest is set for Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the WaterFire Arts Center on Valley Street, according to organizer Red DWG Library, a co-working lounge in Pawtucket.
A VIP event is also planned for Friday night, April 26.
The festival’s main sponsor is Hasbro Inc., according to the event website, and sponsorships are available. The day will include activities, speakers, panel discussions and demonstrations on artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics, drone technology, autonomous technology, 3D technology, medical science and digital technology.
Ocean Inno Tech Fest is an event with networking opportunities for potential employers, employees, investors and advisers, according to Red DWG Library.
Food trucks, beer and music are also planned.
All-access passes are $65 and main-access passes are $45. Children under 12 attend for free. Family packages – for two adults and two children under 12 – are $100 for all access and $75 for main access. Students, seniors and military members attend for free with a donation to the WaterFire Arts Center.
More information on both the VIP party and main festival event can be found here.
Last year’s Ocean Inno Tech Fest date was May 10. It was postponed to Sept. 13, 2018. Less than a week before that date, it was pushed to April 27, 2019, due to what Red DWG Library said at the time was a need for more infrastructure to support the event. At that time, it had been planned for McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.
